BUUV – Nobla
To enhance cohesion and solidarity between people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, we created Buuv, which is slang for ‘neighbour’. It’s on on- and offline marketplace for peer-to-peer aid in three quarters in Haarlem.
By extending the online platform with ‘door boards’ in public places like libraries, town halls, nursing homes, mosques, and some shops we enable both the internet savvy and unsavvy to
express their needs. Notes with needs or offers attached on the door boards are collected and put online by special ‘data-entry-teams’. Urgent requests for help from the website are printed and pinned on the doorboard too. Because of it’s succes the platform is now used in seven other municipalities in the Netherlands and this amount is still growing.
